Bigshot Touring Artists is a booking agency representing all of your favorite musical acts opened by Kevin French in New York City, January 2001. In 2005, we packed up our bags and opened shop in lovely Portland, OR. As of 2006, paul buck, formerly of the agency group, joined up with bigshot and brought all of his expertise to the company.

the picture above: a really cool telephone that was the product of a google images search that was conducted. aside from being completely fascinated by how one of these could possibly work, we thought it might be more appropriate and tasteful for a contact page than a picture that flaunts how much sinful fun we were having 9 months ago. however, let it be known that bigshot considers levels of appropriateness and taste to be completely relative. As in, the party picture might be back soon...

Bigshot Touring Artists is always accepting submissions from label-supported artists, if they abide by the following rules:

1. please do not call us. we are aware that this is a very impersonal sort of thing to say, but there are only two of us in the office and we don't have phone lines capable of handling all of the traffic. we appreciate you wanting to establish "real" contact but Your plan will more or less backfire, as you will be getting a version of us that you might not have wished for.

2. Please email before sending your package. Unsolicited music will be used as coasters or other such artistic, functional, and social ventures.

3. Please do not add us to your mailing list after permission has been granted to send the package, unless we specifically ask to be on it. Unsolicited mailing campaigns will be combatted with bad-luck chain letters for life from whichever one of us is more annoyed.

4. Please do not check up on your package. If we love you, we will stalk and harass you. If we don’t like your music, we prefer not to tell you to your face. Other than it just being plain awkward, we don’t want to have a 20 minute conversation about our musical taste when we have tours to book. And please don’t have your manager, label, and/or publicist check up on it either - for the same reasons that were just mentioned, but also because having that same conversation 4 times is a booking agent’s version of the movie Groundhog Day.

5. As stated above, we generally will only book a band with good label support. We tend to book within the same sort of genres, but if you're music is fantastic, we may choose to ignore rule #5.

6. please do not send epk's or links to your myspace page. we are snobs and prefer to have something we can hold in our hands, look at, listen to in the comfort of our living room, and/or set our coffee mug on.

7. please do not send mp3's to our email addresses. they take too long to upload. it's a frustrating way to start the day and then we will most likely retaliate in the manner of rule #3.

8. vinyl will always get you on our good side, just for the record... also, puns are always appreciated.
